The varied nature of their contracts means they undertake a lot of high risk work, such as work at height and in confined spaces as well as working with chemicals and the risks related to the various trades on site. Therefore, it is important that they protect the Company, it’s workforce and members of the public and this means keeping the workforce well-informed and trained to a high standard. It is also important that the Company is able to demonstrate to their Clients that they have a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.

To this end, Jacksons has developed a close working relationship with IWTS to support them with training. A convenient location is one key reason that IWTS Ltd were chosen, being based just off the M60 motorway in Oldham and the centre is easy to get to with ample parking on site. IWTS offers tailored solutions to all of Jackson’s training needs at reasonable prices and courses are delivered in a timely manner. The IWTS tutors are friendly and helpful and every employee who has attended the various courses has only good things to say about them.

To ensure they all have the necessary and up-to-date skills to manage the sites all Site Managers have recently undergone the CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme through IWTS and every one of them has praised the trainer, Peter Jackson, for his knowledge and for making this high level training both interesting and easy to follow.

The training centre in Oldham is modern, clean and comfortable and is fully accredited by a large number of awarding bodies. The Company finds it is easy to book the training, through the very friendly and helpful administration team headed by Val Perrin at IWTS, who provide easy to understand joining instructions for Jackson employees.
